If you remember the trailer for the updated version of Persona 5, named now Persona 5 Royal, you have seen new features, new content, and most of all, a new character. The new member came for the Phantom Thieves, and alongside a lot of social activities, attack animations, extra Confidant, and more. Persona 5 Royale will be launched on October 31, 2019, in Japan and 2020 will go worldwide only for PS4. From that trailer we have seen a new theme song, you can now engage on social scenes with other characters, roam around Kichijoji, or visit an aquarium. Also, playing darts with all of the team members at the Penguin Sniper bar sounds cool enough.
Who’s the New Character?
Another student transferred at Shujin Academy, Kasumi Yoshizawa, a rhythmic gymnast. The new student it’s seen for a brief moment in the trailer, where she dances elegantly and combat with a critical hit animation. Kasumi uses a rapier-style sword and a Winchester-type rifle. But what will Kasumi do? We know that her role is significant and it’s tied to Joker and Goro Akechi.
Besides, that’s not all. We will see another important character in the game. His name is Takuto Maruki, and he will be the school counselor at Shujin, and the more interesting fact, he will also be a new Confidant. He will appear after the Kamoshida debacle. Yet, if those two characters haven’t convinced you enough, more changes are coming.
Finally, the original game is changing and a third semester will be added to the storyline. Having another semester to the game, automatically special events will be present too. And, of course, a lot of new stories will be introduced to help the game towards the end. Until October 31, we have only the trailers that help us see the details and additions to the game, go and have a look.
