There is no secret that Playground Games is working on a new Fable game. The first hints we got were back in January 2018, when Eurogamer reported a new Fable game was in the making. But we were ready to learn about it at E3 during Microsoft’s press conference. However, some details about the new game have already been leaked.
While we will take the following information with a pinch of salt, we are also quite hyped about what will come to Fable 4. Get ready to experience a new story which doesn’t take place on Albion!
Fable 4 Is Indeed Different From The Other Fable Games
In a video, we saw Fable 4 revealed, and Microsoft has gone above and beyond to take down every trace of it online. Nonetheless, screenshots of the details have remained thanks to Reddit user LagSwag1.
Here’s what he wrote about the leaked video:
- First/Third Person
- In Depth character creator
- Completely Open
- No guns
- Can ignore main quest and never become a hero
- Players can build towns, ties into main quest heavily if you get the bad ending and fail
- Multiplayer
- Unreal Engine
He also added more information on what we’d see in the game and what will be missing:
Albion and Aurora are gone. “Lands reduced to fables.” The Spire was rebuilt and used by a mad king to wish that an asteroid would strike the planet. He also wished it would happen again in the far future.
It seems we get to be the heroes and we need to save the planet again, and the great thing is we get Time Travel:
Eons later and everything is new (medieval themed, new continents) and you have to stop the destruction of the planet again. Theresa and a Heroes Guild are preserved on another planet via a demon door. Time Travel heavily involved in play. Jack of Blades returns.
Fable 4 will come out on Xbox One, but it would surely be a cross-console release, considering Xbox Project Scarlet is just around the corner! We will probably learn more about the release date at E3, during Microsoft’s conference. That’s when we will also learn if these leaks are indeed true!
