The Grand Theft Auto franchise has a ton of fans who love GTA V but also want to know when GTA VI will be released and what it will feature. Rockstar Games are known for their high-quality content, which also means years of working on a game and supporting them for the years to come. GTA 5 now has the online mode, which is updated continuously with items, modes, and events to keep everyone going until the next GTA is finally teased.
Now, of course, the fans, analysts, and officials from Rockstar had to say something about GTA VI, and this is what made everyone go crazy about the game, which has not even been teased!
Here is what we know about the location of the game and why these places make or do not make sense.
GTA VI Locations: US, UK, the Americas
While speculations and rumors about the game began arising, Rockstar Games was planning something that could be directed towards the GTA 6. Now that Red Dead Redemption 2 is out and the online mode is being populated with content, the team can finally take care of the next installment of GTA. Here are the facts that support our opinion.
At the beginning of 2019, Rockstar announced some job openings for programmers, as they are expanding the team. The job listings were for a next-gen game, and there was one job for a vehicle designer among them.
Now for the locations of the game, we must first glean from the statement given by the lead writer of Rockstar Games Dan Houser. He was asked if London would be a good setting for GTA 6, and he said that although London is appealing and it could make for a great storyline, it is not going to work for the future GTA game:
“But my own personal feeling is that GTA is America. With this game, I think, we’re very happy with the location. It let us do something iconic.”
The game might keep familiar Florida, New York, and California surroundings. Nonetheless, an insider from Rockstar did say something about the developer working on “Project Americas,” which could mean GTA 6 will have a huge map, probably including other parts of the continent.
