Samsung Galaxy Note 9 From Verizon Gets Android Pie Update

Samsung has had a great 2019 start with the Galaxy S9 smartphones getting Android Pie, with the Samsung event showing us the Galaxy S10 line and the Galaxy Fold. Now for the users of Galaxy Note 9, Verizon has great news.

The AT&T Galaxy Note 9 got the Android Pie update at the end of January, the Sprint released one days later, T-Mobile needed almost a month, and now Verizon has announced that they will roll out the update on March 12 for all Galaxy Note 9 users.

The Android 9 will come as the build PPR1.180610.011.N960USQU1CSB3, and it will also introduce the February Android Security patch.

The size of the file hasn’t yet been announced, but it should be around 2GB as previous Android Pie updates have been. Here are the things we should expect from Android 9 Pie on Galaxy Note 9:

Adaptive Battery – this feature will use AI and let you enjoy more time on your phone, adapting battery according to apps or services you rarely use.

Adaptive Brightness – the phone will automatically adjust the brightness of your screen according to various light conditions, the AI also learns your favorite brightness settings to do it for you.

App Actions will help you out and improve productivity, and so does the feature called ‘Slices,’ and the Intuitive Navigation based on gestures to switch between apps.

The biggest improvement with the Android 9 Pie update is the new One UI, which is the best skin so far.

To get the latest update, go to Settings -> System Update.

Attention! Connect your device to a Wi-Fi Network that has a strong connection. Make sure you have enough room for the update, and the battery is fully charged before you start updating to Android 9 Pie.
