A Silverado Truck 3,000-pound Lego Replica – Your Childhood Dreams Were Made Come True

Chevrolet and Lego made many men’s and children’s dreams come true when they did this project. If you were wondering what a full-sized pickup truck would look like made out of Lego, then these two companies got you covered.

The results of this project are impressive as we would expect from a collaboration between these two companies. They made a massive, life-sized Lego version of the Silverado pickup truck.

Aside for acting like publicity for Chevrolet as it is working with Lego on their upcoming movie The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, this truck is also considered a great feat of Lego brick engineering.

The Lego Silverado looks extremely similar to  Chevy’s full-size pickup being a near exact replica. It is 8 feet wide and 6 feet high. The headlights are working just like on the real car, and small details are also reproduced such as the Chevrolet logos and the front grill, all made out of Lego bricks.

The Lego Silverado

The weight of the red Lego creation is 3,307 pounds, and in order to come into this form, it took artists  334,544 bricks and more than 2,000 hours. According to Chevrolet, each piece was assembled by hand.

The two companies had previously teamed up. The first time they worked together was when Lego needed a life-sized Lego Batmobile for The Lego Batman Movie.

Even though it would be amazing, unfortunately, you can’t drive the Silverado, but you can keep an eye on the release date of the Lego movie and see it come to life on the screens.

What do you think? Does a children movie deserve this much effort and attention to be great? Or maybe the Silverado was a waste of time.
