10.5-inch iPad Mini and iPad Air to come with Apple Pencil Support

Great news for Apple fans all around the world! Recently, Apple has announced their new updates for their iPad line, and it seems that we’ll be having a new iPad mini, plus a new iPad Air. But what are they going to look like? On one hand, we have the iPad Air that comes with a thin design and the 10.5-inch display you already know about, plus an Apple A12 Bionic chip.

On the other hand, the iPad mini will stick to the good old 7.9-inch screen, but it will also bring the A12 chip. The good news is that both of them will come up with a compatibility with the first gen Apple Pencil. Another thing that attracted our attention was the display Apple used for the iPad Air. The model comes with a True Tone display and a 2224×1668 resolution, which is great. Some even say that this is the heir of the 10.5-inch iPad Pro, which many regretted when it was discontinued. You can choose between two storage options: 64 or 256 GB, and between three colors: space gray, silver, and gold.

Meanwhile, the iPad Mini has also received a boost, if you compare it to the last-gen iPad mini 4. The addition of the Apple Pencil support is really welcome, but besides that there isn’t much to be admired. According to the official Apple statements, next week we will be enjoying an iWork update that will let us use the Apple Pencil in new ways. For example, now you will be able to draw an animation path for an object with the help of the stylus. The iPad Mini comes in the same configurations as the Air version, both in what concerns the color and the storage.

Just like you’re probably used to by now, the new iPad models come in two versions: Wi-Fi-only and Wi-Fi + cellular. The entire lineup contains the iPad Pro (11 and 12.9 inches), iPad Air (the 10.5 inch version), iPad (9.7 in), and iPad mini (7.9 in). We’d also like to remind you that the iPad Pro 10.5-inch and the iPad mini 4 have been discontinued.
